Welcome to British Designer Lighting

We are a traditional, lighting company, supplying hand-made lighting from Hull, East Yorkshire, North-East of England.

We supply handcrafted, beautiful stained-glass, leaded lanterns, which can be used indoor or outdoors.

We love that we are able to provide a very bespoke, niche, traditional product. We have an extensive selection of lanterns, with as many as 60 different patterns to chose from.

You can even have your own lantern personally designed to your preference, simply chose your own pattern, size and colours you would like. Delivery of lanterns: orders will be delivered to your front door within 5-7 working days.

You can even chose how you would like to display your lantern.

Lanterns can be hung as a pendant, in a porch area, attached to a wrought Iron bracket, these brackets are specifically designed & cast for the lanterns, to be able to mount, securely to a outside wall, you can specify if you would like the bracket to be upwards or downwards facing. Another option is to display your chosen lantern on a pedestal in your garden.

Every lantern is individually hand-made to the very best quality, every lantern is made by hand from the cutting of the coloured glass, cutting the lead, to soldering the joints, wiring the electrics to cleaning the lanterns and packaging in our bespoke boxes, designed specially to fit around the lanterns to ensure a smooth and safe delivery to you.

All of the materials are sustainable and natural, and are all carefully sourced within England.
